BabyProof uses your phone's camera and ARKit/ARCore to create a 3D map of your room in real time. Our AI model, trained on thousands of baby hazard scenarios, analyzes the space and overlays red warning markers on anything that could be dangerous for your baby's specific age group.
BabyProof works on iPhone 12 and newer (iOS 16+) and most Android phones with ARCore support (Android 10+). That covers about 85% of smartphones in use today. We're also working on iPad and tablet support.
We take your privacy seriously. Room images are sent to OpenAI's API for AI-powered hazard detection and are not stored afterward. OpenAI does not retain API inputs or use them for training. Your Room Scores and hazard lists are encrypted and stored locally. If you choose to share a score card, only the score and room name are shared — never images.
Our AI model identifies hazards with 94% accuracy in controlled testing. It catches the most common dangers: sharp corners, small objects, unsecured furniture, exposed outlets, dangling cords, and more. We're constantly improving through anonymized feedback (opt-in only).
